January 9, 2010... Xmas 2009 Recap

Christmas 2009 - lots of fun, LOTS of presents, LOTS of toys. The boys got a ton of toys this Xmas - we have spent the past few weeks playing with everything. Let's see - there is the play tent w/ tunnel, lots of legos, Lego World board /DVD game, remote control car & microflyer, a play restaurant for Joe - cash register & food & kitchen, much much more… Santa was very good to the boys this year!! I'll post some photos soon…

We have spent a lot of time outside playing in the snow this winter - building snowmen, sledding, etc… One guarantee - a five year old boy almost never admits he is too cold and needs to go inside!! Check out a few photos…

Last January we discovered a Website "Make-a-Flake" http://snowflakes.barkleyus.com. You have a virtual piece of folded paper & scissors- cut away and make a snowflake!! You can save the snowflake and view a gallery of many,many snowflakes. It is very therapeutic and addictive at the same time. Below is an example of my artistic abilities…

December 6, 2009... Christomas Tree up & Decorated!!

Right after Thanksgiving Jake started asking about the Xmas tree - so we put it up Saturday after Thanksgiving… thanks for artificial trees!! Had to make an emergency run to Target to get new lights for the tree - the old ones burnt out(Stringing up the lights!!). I posted a couple photos of us & the tree...

The NHL has had a Winter Classic hockey game played out doors each of the past 2 years (Pittsburgh @ Buffalo 1/1/2008; Detroit @ Chicago 1/1/2009) - this year it will take place at Fenway Park on January 1, 2010 1:00pm - Boston vs. Philadelphia. The 1st outdoor game in NHL history November 22, 2003, the Heritage Classic game between Edmonton vs Montreal in Edmonton.

I got the 2009 Fun Pass booklet and I easily used $25 in discounts - in fact is was more like $100-$150 in discounts!! The cost for the fun Pass book is only $25 & the funds go to Breathe NH's work on problems with lung health in NH. The Fun Book covers family attractions in New hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine… It is definitely a nice little stocking stuffer!!
