October 31, 2008... Halloween 2008
What a crazy day - 1st Jake had a Halloween party at pre-school, they turned a donut into a spider with white chocolate chips and pretzel sticks. Then we were off to trick-or-treating, Jake had a blast going from house to house, but he did not like the motion sensor skeletons/witches that came to life when you walk by them - I little to scary. We dressed Joe up as a Tiger - he looked great - Joseph enjoyed his 1st Halloween. Joe liking watching the kids run around, then he ended up falling asleep for a while.

October 26, 2008... Pumpkin Carving 2008
We had our family pumpkin carving this weekend - Jake did a good job helping out with picking out his pumpkin and helping carve it out - I ended up doing most of the gutting the pumpkins though. I think I liked Megan's pumpkin the best (aka Squidword - 3rd one from the right on the top row) or Jackson's Spider (far right on the top row). Check out all the photos…

October 20, 2008... Fall Farm Fair
There is an Educational Farm at Joppa Hill in Bedford and they had a fall farm fair that went to the other day. I was a little chilly, but we had a good time - we checked out the animals: pigs, chickens, turkey, rabbits, ponies, etc… We went on the hay ride thru the fields, Jenn & Jacob made a few beeswax candles too.

October 17, 2008... Mini Motel
Never again find yourself stranded in a transportation terminal with no place to sleep… The Mini Motel is easy to carry along as well - the dimensions are 17" x 12" x 3", small enough to slip right into your laptop bag. For $49.95. it is cheaper than a hotel room… Each Mini Motel comes with an air mattress, pillow, alarm clock, reading light, etc... Well - this one is interesting - and very humorous, but you saw it here 1st… click on the link and watch an MSNBC news video on the product.

October 14, 2008... Sullivan Farm
Sullivan Farm & the Salvation Army hosted an Applefest. Jake got to play some games, got to go on a pony ride, and check out yet another fire engine. This pony ride we let him ride on his own - no problems. The event was nice, but it was very difficult to get close and find a parking spot.

October 11, 2008... Milford Pumpkin Festival 2008
We made it over to the Milford Pumpkin Festival on Saturday - the weather was nice and Jake was getting over a small bout with the croop. We played some games, visited the Firehouse, climbed over some pumpkins, and I even joined in the Chili Roundup. The chili roundup - you pay $5 to help judge approx 50 different chili entries, I definitely needed the TUMS when I got home!!

October 6, 2008... October Weekend in Lincoln
After the Bounce U party, we took the boys up to Lincoln for the weekend - at Na & Pa's condo. We took a ride on a train (the Hobo Railroad) - a leaf-peeping tour around the area. Jake loved being on the train!! They also had a small playground there - we stayed there for at least an extra hour. Na & Pa came up on Sunday and we took a quick drive over to Beaver Pond for a small hike and to look at the foliage. I have posted a few photos…

October 3, 2008... Bounce U
Jacob was invited to a kids party at Bounce U in Bedford, NH. Bounce U is one of the HOT places for kids parties these days - they have large inflatable slides, bouncy houses, obstacle courses, etc… that kids can jump on. We had a great time and will probably go back there many times - they have "Open Bounce" sessions and/or you can schedule preschool playdates.

October 2, 2008... Discovery Museum
We took a trip down to Acton, MA to the Discovery Museum - we went to the Science Museum building. It reminded me of the SEE Science Center. We had a great time - Jake especially liked a metal wall with a bunch of tubes, funnels, and ramps that he could position in order to roll a ball/marble down the track he just built. There was a small "tornado" exhibit that he could go into and touch/impact the funnel cloud, there were water exhibits and music exhibits… I posted a few photos
