We went to Canobie Lake park the other day (company outing) - it was a really fun day… until the "Extreme Frisbee" wiped me out!! I was doing ok, even went on the 'Star Blaster' with Sue, no problems, but I pushed my luck and the frisbee kicked my butt - I have never been an amusement ride person. The only saving grace is that once we got off the "frisbee" it started to pour down raining and we called it a day - whew…

July 25, 2008... Wildlife in the Backyard - this time a Deer

We have had our share of wildlife running around our backyard, but we had a 1st the other day - a Deer!! It was a relatively small one, but it definitely captured Jacob's attention. Jacob knew it was a deer and proceeded to ask "Where is Santa?" - thinking it was one of Santa's Reindeer.

July 23, 2008... More Photos… Loon, Whale's Tail, & Clark's Bears

We went up to top of Loon on the Gondola - Jake likes the ride up and we got to look for "Loon Mountain Gold". The Whale's Tail was pretty much mandatory for this vacation - Jacob cannot get enough of the water - he liked the wave pool and the water gun in the kiddie area. It was Jacob's (& Joseph's) 1st time to Clark's Bears - Jake liked the train ride and sitting atop the big stuffed bear at the entrance.

July 21, 2008... Beaver pond, Sabbaday Falls, Basin photos

Here are a few pictures from the Hikes that we went on during Vacation. BEAVER POND: just down the road from the Lost River. SABBADAY FALLS: Jake scraped up both knees on this hike - see if you can find the photo with his band-aids. BASIN: Jake only fell into the water once - he decided to wear his sunglasses.

July 20, 2008... Back from Vacation

Time went by too fast… We did a lot of things and the weather was great. We went to Clark's Trading Post , Whale's Tale, Loon Mountain Gondola ride, and a few hikes: The Basin, Sabbaday Falls, and Beaver Pond. Mix in some pool time and beach time and we had a good time.

July 19, 2008... The BIG 4-0

Yup - I turned forty today. No mid-life crisis yet, it was a good day - birthday party with the family and then a Nashua Pride game at night. This was Jake's 1st ballgame - he had a great time - popcorn, ice cream, he did everything. We even ran a few relatives at the ballgame my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bugs. I actually saw a car in front of me with the vanity plate 4EVR39 - how appropriate!!

July 10, 2008... Vacation - finally

I am off on a much needed vacation - up North to the White Mountains with the family. With 2 little ones - vacations are tending to be more work than non-vacations, as long as the boys have fun that's all that counts.

A new concept in Job benefits is a thing called "Summer Fridays". An example is: Employees can take off 4 Fridays between the Memorial Day and Labor Day.
