| Right after Thanksgiving Jake started asking about the Xmas tree - so we put it up Saturday after Thanksgiving… thanks for artificial trees!! | Went to Chuck E. Cheese for a kids birthday party - wow lots going on. From the moment we got there til when we left - games, pizza, tickets, etc… Both boys had a blast - I enjoyed playing Skee-Ball again. After the party straight up the Lincoln for 2 days at Deerpark. |

| We went over to Na&Pa's house for some apple pie and the boys had a good time helping Pa rake the leaves. Jake also brought over his new bike to show Na&Pa how well he rides it. I snapped a few pictures of the day… |

| September 27, 2009... JUMP ON IN - jump party!!! |
| We survived the BIG "Jump Party" - we had about 20 kids (4-5 years olds). Jump On in is an indoor inflatable and jumping facility - very large slides, bouncy houses, etc… Everyone was exhausted afterwards, Jake even said "Man, I'm tired". He still found enough energy at home to open a few presents and play before crashing out early. A BIG Thanks to everyone who could come and make the day so special for Jacob!! |

| We had a small Birthday celebration on Jake's actual 5th Birthday - because we are planning a bigger party at Jump On In with his entire school class!! We got Jake a new 2-wheel bike (with training wheels) for his birthday - he has been riding it every day since!! Next up - Jump party this weekend!! |

| August 16, 2009... Kaleidoscope Children's Museum - Manchester, NH |
| The Kaliedoscope Museum moved to Manchester in July, it was originally located in Concord. The Museum is in a renovated Mill Building - it is more like an indoor play area for kids designed for kids walking age thru 5 years old. Both boys liked it a lot - it was really good for Joe's age and will be a place he will grow into. They have a pirate's ship, a little treehouse, a padded play area for the little ones and a stage for kids to dress up and have fun… I posted a few photos: |

| August 12, 2009... Beach Day - Wallis Sands |
| I took last Friday off, packed up the car, and headed to the beach. Marc & Janine had told us about Wallis Sands State Park in Rye - so decided to go there. The beach was great, Jake & Joe went straight to the ocean - both having a great time with the waves (Joe getting knocked down by a few of the waves). We stayed all afternoon - digging in the sand, finding snails in the rocks, building sand castles… Check out a few photos from the day!! |

| After Fitness U, we rested and went up to Pittfield for the Balloon Rally… We had a great time on the rides there and it was a great day for the balloons to launch. Ran into a bunch of family there - Casey, Uncle Joe & Biaggio, Andy, Kelly & Greg… We stayed as long a we could, but Joseph & Jake only made it so long - they both fell asleep on the way home. |

| July 23, 2009... Beaver Pond - hike near Lost River |
| We have a favorite small hike - Beaver Pond, it is right past Lost River and is real easy for the kids to hike. We go out to a big rock that goes out into the lake and hang out there and enjoy the views of the mountains, rocks, and water. |

| July 21, 2009... Squam Lakes Nature Science Center |
| We checked out the Squam Lake Natural Science Center - it is a great place to take the kids. There are lots of animals - the birds/raptors section was the best, a lot of interactive activities & games, and you get to walk through the woods from exhibit to exhibit. And the Children's Activity Center!! The Children's center alone was probably worth the price of admission for the boys (actually Jake got in FREE with our Fun Pass Book!!), a giant cargo net spiderweb, a "tree" to climb inside up to the 2nd floor, and much more… check out our photos |

| June 17, 2009... Fitness U - lots of fun |
| I took Jake to the Fitness University clinic @ Milford High last night - lots of people!! They separated the kids by age group - there must have been 25 to 30 4 years old kids in Jake's group. They did some warm-up exercises and a lap around the track, some relay races, red light/green light, an obstacle course, and a game called bees & bears - Jake loved that game. It was definitely worth the trip and they did a good job organizing the event - we are looking forward to more exercise @ future clinics, every Tuesday night thru July. | We had a great time at Charmingfare farm - they have quite a few more animals that I had expected - the highlights were the reindeer, the fisher cat, and the pony ride. We got to see our nephew Zack - Jake thought it was the coolest thing to meet him there. I have posted a few photos… |

| May 2, 2009... Hockey House |
| The other morning Jake was talking to me and told me that we had to build a Hockey House. I asked him what he meant - he said we needed some cardboard and some Bruins logos to put all around it. As the dutiful father I printed out some Bruins logos at work and grabbed some cardboard. I got home and we spent a few hours constructing a Hockey House. I think it came out well - and it was one of the most fun projects I have done in a long time!! |

| I finally got around to posting this year's easter photos - coloring eggs and easter baskets. We had lots of fun - went over to Na & Pa's for easter dinner. When we got home it was nearly dark out and very chilly - but Jake wanted to try out his new croquet set. So we put on winter coats, hats, and mittens/gloves and played a little bit. Joseph had a real good time… he is showing signs of tending to hold back and figure out what is going on before jumping into things. It happened when people arrive and with his birthday cake. With the cake he didn't know what to make of it, but once he got a taste - he dug right in, same with the ice cream. |

| February 14, 2009... Valentine's Day - Butterfly Place |
| We had a good Valentine's Day, Jake and I thought it would be good idea to take Mom to The Butterfly Place in Westford. The habitat is contained within a 3,100 sq. ft. glass atrium building towering to a height of over 27 ft. at its peak - At any given time, the atrium may contain up to 500 butterflies representing as many as 50 different species. The Butterfly Place was just opening for the season - so the foliage and butterflies were not yet at the best part of their season - but still quite a bit to see. I would definitely recommend bringing the family there - I would hold off until a better time of year - whether that is Spring or Fall… I took a few photos of some of the butterflies seen - oh yeah, they had a small coy pond too!! |

| With all the cold and snow, we were looking for a good indoor activity and realized we had not been bowling in a while. So we went down to Leda Lanes this past weekend and had a real good time with the candlepin bowling. Jake only tried to run down the lane once. |

| Christmas Day - it seems so far away already, was it only 10 days ago? Jake and Joe have both enjoyed playing with all their presents over the past week. We knew Jake would have fun with the toys, but Joe is really showing interest in his toys and playing with them. Joe is starting to sit up on his own fairly well these days and he is starting to find ways to move across the floor - more a stop, drop, and roll technique… he'll get to crawling real soon. | We got a few inches on Wednesday and we are in the middle of at least 6 inches more on Friday. I just escaped work in time and made it home before the heavy stuff came down. One good thing - it has been Joe's 1st snowfall, we got him bundled up and got him a little kid sled (Jake and I pulled him around for a little while), Joseph really enjoyed it!! | What a crazy day - 1st Jake had a Halloween party at pre-school, they turned a donut into a spider with white chocolate chips and pretzel sticks. Then we were off to trick-or-treating, Jake had a blast going from house to house, but he did not like the motion sensor skeletons/witches that came to life when you walk by them - I little to scary. We dressed Joe up as a Tiger - he looked great - Joseph enjoyed his 1st Halloween. Joe liking watching the kids run around, then he ended up falling asleep for a while. |

| We had our family pumpkin carving this weekend - Jake did a good job helping out with picking out his pumpkin and helping carve it out - I ended up doing most of the gutting the pumpkins though. | Sullivan Farm & the Salvation Army hosted an Applefest. Jake got to play some games, got to go on a pony ride, and check out yet another fire engine. This pony ride we let him ride on his own - no problems. The event was nice, but it was very difficult to get close and find a parking spot. |

| October 6, 2008... October Weekend in Lincoln |
| After the Bounce U party, we took the boys up to Lincoln for the weekend - at Na & Pa's condo. We took a ride on a train (the Hobo Railroad) - a leaf-peeping tour around the area. Jake loved being on the train!! They also had a small playground there - we stayed there for at least an extra hour. Na & Pa came up on Sunday and we took a quick drive over to Beaver Pond for a small hike and to look at the foliage. I have posted a few photos… |

| October 3, 2008... Discovery Museum |
| We took a trip down to Acton, MA to the Discovery Museum - we went to the Science Museum building. It reminded me of the SEE Science Center. We had a great time - Jake especially liked a metal wall with a bunch of tubes, funnels, and ramps that he could position in order to roll a ball/marble down the track he just built. There was a small "tornado" exhibit that he could go into and touch/impact the funnel cloud, there were water exhibits and music exhibits… I posted a few photos |

| August 11, 2008... Hudson Old Home Day |
| We went to the Hudson Old Home Day to check out the Wildlife Encounters Travelling Petting Zoo that was going to be there, but we got much more. The NH State police had their Helicopter, motorcycle, and bomb squad robot there for kids to check out. They had lots of amusement rides and the petting zoo. Wildlife Encounters had Frodo the tortoise wandering the grounds, a baby kangaroo, geckos, an asian centipede, a big African Serval cat, African Pygmy Hedgehog, a Burmese Python, etc… We enjoyed the animals and the rides - Jake especially liked the RockinTugBoat, he went on it twice. We left about 5 minutes before a complete downpour of rain, whew!! |

| August 10, 2008... Another Busy Weekend - Parlee Farm |
| We had another busy weekend - the Nashua Summer Fun/Energy Fair and the Parlee Farm on Saturday, Hudson Old Home Days on Sunday. The Energy fair was mostly a good excuse for Jake to get into another Bouncy House and get some ice cream. Parlee Farm was a pleasant surprise - the farm in right in Tyngsboro, MA. Parlee farm has a small petting zoo: goats, sheep, bunny rabbits… they have a farm stand, ice cream stand, and pick your own fruits and flowers. Depending on the season they have pick your own strawberries, blueberries, cut flowers, raspberries, apples, and pumpkins. Jake wanted to pick some blueberries - so we did, we had a fun time picking blueberries. I posted some photos from the outing… |

| August 4, 2008... Family Picnic - Crystal Lake |
| We made our way up to Crystal Lake for the Towle Family picnic - we had a great time, a lot of family got to see Joseph for the 1st time. I did not get too much of a chance to stop and talk with everyone - Jake kept me on the move!! Jake had fun playing Foosball with his cousin Alex, Jacob also found the drums and decided to play - he did quite well. It did rain a little, but that did not stop the boys from playing. Maybe I will be able to sit down a relax at one of these events… then again Joseph hasn't started walking yet. I have posted a few pictures as well. |

| There was a Touch-A-Truck event at Nashua High South - for $5 Jake and I were able to check out a bunch of trucks - climb in them, play with the controls, honk the horns - they had everything: Police car, Ambulance, Dump Truck, Fire Engine, Scoop Loader, Crane, Ice Cream Truck, etc… Jake actually ran into a few of his pre-school buddies and we also ran into a family friend - Doug and his 2 boys. | We went to Canobie Lake park the other day (company outing) - it was a really fun day… until the "Extreme Frisbee" wiped me out!! I was doing ok, even went on the 'Star Blaster' with Sue, no problems, but I pushed my luck and the frisbee kicked my butt - I have never been an amusement ride person. The only saving grace is that once we got off the "frisbee" it started to pour down raining and we called it a day - whew… |

| We went up to top of Loon on the Gondola - Jake likes the ride up and we got to look for "Loon Mountain Gold". The Whale's Tail was pretty much mandatory for this vacation - Jacob cannot get enough of the water - he liked the wave pool and the water gun in the kiddie area. It was Jacob's (& Joseph's) 1st time to Clark's Bears - Jake liked the train ride and sitting atop the big stuffed bear at the entrance. |

| Today my nephew Dan graduated from Merrimack High School - Congrats Dan!! It was also the day we went to the Rotary Ribfest - great weather, thousands of people, and even more ribs… Most of us got ribs, etc. from Rasta Joe's - excellent, Sue & Amanda got food from the Crazy Canucks (sorry about the long wait in line). If it was up to me - I would go to a ribfest in the middle of December if they had one!! |

| I had a very nice Father's Day - Joseph's 1st father's day too. The boys got me a few pair of shorts (dad desparately needed) and a couple of golf pens, one of the photos shows them holding the pens. | We took a few days to try out a weekend away with the boys - up North in Lincoln. It was Joseph's 1st weekend away - he did great. The weather held up nice, Jake had some time in the pool as well. We hit the Lupin Festival @ Sugar Hill - one of the main attractions for us is the horse drawn hay ride thru the fields. | We started taking Jacob to a new haircutting place - Snip-its. It is a kid oriented place - kid-sized barber's chairs with a belt to strap them in, TVs at each station with cartoons & games, and they get a ticket that they can get a prize after the haircut. He did great, we stopped by a neighbors and visited for a while, and went to the playground and let Jacob play. | October 6, 2007... Loon Mountain - Gondola |
| We took Jake up to the top of Loon Mountain on Sunday - his 1st time up the Gondola - he enjoyed it a lot. He played on the playground up top and even went to the top fo the lookout tower. Loon has an old train at the entrance, so we stopped to take a closer look - Jake really wanted to climb inside and drive the train. |

| October 4, 2007... Sherman Farm - Conway, NH |
| We went up North this past weekend, another weekend on the go… We took a journey over to Sherman Farm in East Conway, they have a maze in the corn field and bunch of kid attractions. I was a real good time, almost a bit too far out of the way. One neat thing for kids was the Corn Box - a small pit of dried corn kernels that the kids could jump around in. I have posted a couple pictures.. |

| September 15, 2007... Birthday Party |
| Jake's 3rd Birthday party was at the SEE Science Center - plenty of stuff to do and play with… Man - there is quite a bit of work that goes into organizing this event. Jake definitely had a great time (minus the shock from the Van de Graff machine). I posted a bunch of photos from the event… |

| September 9, 2007... Peach Festival - Lull Farm Stand |
| We went to the 4th Annual Peach Festival at the Lull Farm Stand in Milford. It was a real nice day - something like 150 Peach Pies sold out by 10:30am!! They had some kids games, a few bunny rabbits in cages, and a few live musicians playing. I think the number of people overwhelmed the staff at the festival, overall there were not enough PEACHES… maybe next year. |

| February 27, 2007... Jake's 1st Hockey Game |
| We went to a Manchester Monarchs hockey game this weekend - Jake's 1st time to a sporting event. He was amazed with everything, a little overwhelmed at first, but settled right into watching the game. He got a hockey puck from the usher and a small set of platic hockey sticks from the gift shop. We have been playing hockey ever since, we even have a mini hockey goal set up as well. Check out a few pictures from the game… |

| February 4, 2007... Xmas 2006 pictures finally posted |
| Christmas - it seems like it happened much longer than 2 months ago… Looking back Jake really enjoyed everything. The most surprising present - a Snowball. That's right a snowball - we had no snow for Xmas this year so Jim climbed a Mountain made a snowball and made it part of a gift. |

| After the crazy schedule I have been on the past few months, I finally am getting around to posting some August Vacation Pictures. It is nice to look back at them now. | August 6, 2006... Pittsfield Balloon Rally |
| We went up to the Pittsfield Ballon Rally on Saturday - the weather was great. The winds prevented a lot of the balloons to launch, but about 5-7 balloons did go off. We stuck around for the Nite-Glo, where the balloons stay tethered and light up the balloon with the flame. It was an impressive site, even though it was past Jacob's bedtime he enjoyed it a lot. | July 9, 2006... Canobie Lake |
| We went to our company outing at Canobie Lake Park - Jake's first Amusement Park visit. We planned on only staying 2 hours, but ended up staying 4 hours. Jacob was a bit tense on the first few kiddie rides he went on, but got use to it very quickly. Looks like Storyland might be next on the list of places to go… Check out the picture gallery… |

| July 4, 2006... Mini-Vacation |
| We went away for a few days up to Deerpark, the weather was great, Jake enjoyed everything, and we even got to stay an extra day. We had time at the lake, the Woodstock Parade, Fireworks, Woodstock Bandstand concert, and much more… I have posted new pictures of the July 4th weekend - check them out!! |

| What a day - Jacob got his easter basket and did not look back. He spent as much of the day as he could running around the yard and playing with his cousins. He took part in the easter egg hunt - he did not know what he was hunting for, but more than willing to run around anyway |

| It has taken about 19 months, but Jacob finally got his 1st haircut this week. No problems, Jake didn't cry or fuss, I think he was distracted with everything else around him. I posted a couple of pictures… |

| October 30, 2005... Halloween Weekend 2005 |
| We had a busy Halloween weekend, parties, pumpkin carving, and Monday is Halloween. Jacob is going as a Bumble Bee - very cute. Getting the costume was a new parent's nightmare - we bought it, returned it, went back to get it - the store no longer had it, and finally went to another store and got it again (talk about trick or treat). | We had Jacob's 1st Birthday Party on Sunday - it was a great day. There was a lot of running around getting ready for it, but it was worth it. Jacob enjoyed all his presents and even helped open a few. I have put a few pictures on the site… click the link and/or picture below to see them. |

| August 8, 2005... Balloon Rally Pittsfield 2005 |
| Last Saturday we went to Pittsfield, NH for the annual Hot Air Balloon Rally. The weather was perfect and a lot of people turned out for the event. Jacob went on his first amusement park ride - the bumble bees, he enjoyed it a lot. There were about 15-20 hot air balloons launched - it was amazing to watch it all happen. | June 11, 2005... Ribfest Review |
| We went last night to the ribfest… It was great. We ran into my cousin Debbie and her crew, they were working the kid's rides. The ribs - were fabulous, I got Texas Roadhouse's 1/2 rack. We saw an air show and a few of our group went up in the tethered Hot Air Ballon ride. Check out the pictures… |

| June 1, 2005... Jacob's Baptism |
| We had Jacob's Baptism at First Congregational Church, the baptism went well - Jacob didn't cry. After the service we had a Memorial Day/Baptism/Birthday party cookout, the rain held off just long enough to make it a good day. |
